| Information | Douglas Street Recreation Centre is home to many recreational activities, ranging from belly dancing and rug hooking to meetings and birthday parties. The centre, located in a former elementary school at 40 Douglas St., opened its doors in the summer of 2010 and houses the main administrative offices for the Town of Truro Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture. There are classrooms rooms and a gymnasium available for rental. There is parking, a small kitchenette, and an accessible washrooms onsite. Arrangements to rent spaces can be made through the Town of Truro Parks, Recreation and Culture Department by phone at 902-893-6078 or by email.  |
