Description & Services

Information Services Offered: 
 
Hub House – Provides safe overnight emergency shelter, meals, community resource navigation assistance, and advocacy for community members experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. 
 
Housing Support – Assistance offered to any resident of Colchester county who needs help achieving housing stability through eviction prevention measures, landlord mediation, housing subsidy application support and housing location services. 
 
Mission Statement: To reduce homelessness through advocacy, education, empathy, and community building. 
 
Vision Statement: Making affordable housing a reality in a non-judgemental partnership with community, government, 
and businesses. 
 
Value Statements: As we work together with our staff, volunteers, guests, community, and governments to achieve our 
mission and vision, we are committed to: 
 
INCLUSIVITY: Providing services to individuals regardless of their race, sexuality, gender identity, or religion. Working 
with individuals regardless of their health status, past criminal convictions, past or current substance use. 
 
EQUITY: Providing services based on ongoing evaluation of an individual’s specific needs. 
 
ACCOUNTABILITY: Setting and achieving measurable outcomes that can be monitored and reported to our society 
members and the community at large. As well as challenging each other to strive for excellence and continued learning. 
 
COMMUNITY BUILDING: Nurturing relationships within our communities through meaningful engagement, education, 
and partnerships. 
 
ADVOCACY: Providing community education on best practice to end homelessness and working with local government 
and property owners to increase the availability of supportive and affordable housing.

Unfortunately we often operate at capacity. Please call ahead for information on bed availability.
