| Information | Marmac Athletics have qualified professional coaches offering classes in recreational kickboxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Kickboxing classes are designed for students to work at their own pace; sparring is not mandatory but encouraged after students have reached a particular skill level. Brazilian jiu-jitsu classes are taught by multiple instructors who have different perspectives with regards to sport jiu-jitsu and self-defence. Competing in tournaments is not necessary, but the club does participate in many of the competitions available. Students taking both kickboxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu are eligible to compete in amateur competitions in the Atlantic Circuit.  |
