| Information | Are you looking for a place to relax, chat with other parents & caregivers, or just have some “adult time”? If so, Maggie’s Place WELCOMES you! We offer a place away from the routines of home, where you and your children can play, learn, and meet other parents. Maggie’s Place also offers FREE programs for adults and children including prenatal/postnatal support, child development programs for preschoolers, and programs for school aged children, youth and teens. Maggie’s Place will gladly answer your questions regarding parenting, pregnancy, nutrition, and many more issues. A Family Resource Centre is a warm and welcoming place in the community where any family member can go, not only in times of need, but as a regular part of day-to-day life. Family Resource Centre’s offer parent education classes, child development activities, parent-to-parent support groups, health information, referrals and many other programs, activities and services. These services are modified and added to, depending on the needs and desires of local families. Family Resource Centre’s are unique in their approach to working with families: they build families’ strengths and capacities, serve as a hub for the community, work for positive social change, and offer help in a supportive environment. Parents act as resources in many capacities, from serving on a decision-making board, participating in Centre programs and learning job skills. |
| Hours | Monday – Thursday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (Closed Daily from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm) from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm by appointment for chance only. Closed Friday afternoons from 1:00-4:30 pm. Closed Saturdays and Sundays, except for special programs. |
