| Information | **June 17, 2021: The trail is temporarily closed while repairs are underway to the footbridges.** This trail meanders through mature forest of hemlock, spruce, and hardwood beside Matheson's Brook gorge at the Balmoral Grist Mill Museum site. Length: two loops, approximately 500 m each Trail surface: dirt footpath, roots and corduroy boardwalks/bridges Rating: moderate difficulty due to uneven ground, corduroy sections may be slippery Permitted use: walking Directions: Access to the trail can be found at the Balmoral Grist Mill Museum at 544 Peter MacDonald Road, off route 256 at Balmoral Mills. From the parking area, follow the pathway to the Grist Mill. The trails start from this pathway; look for the trail signs. |
