|Information||The Defenders Motorcycle Club is a Canadian organization comprised of men and women who share the common love of motorcycling.
The Defenders have chapters from coast to coast throughout Canada. They promote riding safety and strive to improve the public's viewpoint on motorcycling.
Each Chapter hosts their own very active social and ride calendar and supports ride activities of many other organizations. Each week of the ride season has several events from which to choose.
Defenders Chapter 15 takes part in a number of events each year, including: Remembrance Day in Truro and surrounding communities, Annual Blessing of the Bikes in Truro, annual ceremonies at Peace Keepers Memorial Park in Bass River and our annual Poker Run to raise funds for Child Amputees.
Members may choose to attend as many rides as they like and often divide into smaller groups to support simultaneous events across the regions. If you share their love for motorcycling, you can keep your ride-card full.
|Eligibility||Regular members have all served or supported service to DEFEND Canada, including Uniformed or Civilian members of the Canadian Military, our Allies, the Canadian Coast Guard, RCMP or the Correctional Service of Canada. Regular members may be actively serving, retired, or the spouse of another regular member.
Any other person may apply for Ordinary membership.
|Meetings||Regular Meetings are held quarterly at a designated location. Emergent meetings will be held if circumstances deem it necessary.|
|Established||The first Chapter was established in Borden, ON in 1984. Chapter 15 in Truro was formed in 2007.|
